InAprilofthe27thyearoftheRepublicofChina(1938),Xi'anUnitedUniversitywaschangedtoNorthwestAssociatedUniversity,andLindaAgriculturalCollegewaschangedtoNorthwestAssociatedUniversity'sAgriculturalCollege.
OnApril20thinthetwenty-eighthyearoftheRepublicofChina(1939),theAgriculturalCollegemergedwiththeNorthwestAgriculturalandForestryCollegetoestablishtheNationalNorthwestAgriculturalCollege.
InNovemberofthe34thyearoftheRepublicofChina(1945),theMinistryofEducationsetupspecialPekingTemporaryUniversitycramschool,andtheformerJapaneseandpuppet"PekingUniversity"AgriculturalCollegewasorganizedintothefourthclass.
InJulyofthe36thyearoftheRepublicofChina(1947),theLinUniversitycramschoolended,andthefourthclasswasmergedintothePekingUniversityAgriculturalCollege.
InJuly1949,theAgronomyDepartmentofFuJenCatholicUniversitywasmergedintotheAgriculturalCollegeofPekingUniversity.
2.TsinghuaUniversityCollegeofAgriculture
InthetenthyearoftheRepublicofChina(1921),TsinghuaSchoolopenedagriculturalcoursesandestablishedagriculturalsciences.
InAugustofthe17thyearoftheRepublicofChina(1928),TsinghuaSchoolwasrenamedTsinghuaUniversity,andagriculturalcoursesweresuspended.
Intheautumnofthe23rdyearoftheRepublicofChina(1934),theInstituteofAgricultureofTsinghuaUniversitywasestablished.
Inthespringofthe25thyearoftheRepublicofChina(1936),theSchoolofAgricultureofTsinghuaUniversitywasestablishedinChangsha.
InOctoberofthe27thyearoftheRepublicofChina(1938),thePlantPhysiologyGroupwasadded.
InMayofthe35thyearoftheRepublicofChina(1946),theAgriculturalResearchInstitutewaschangedtotheAgriculturalCollegeofTsinghuaUniversity;onSeptember30ofthesameyear,theAgriculturalCollegemovedtotheoriginalcivilengineeringcollege.
3.SchoolofAgriculture,NorthChinaUniversity
InMayofthe28thyearoftheRepublicofChina(1939),theYan'anInstituteofNaturalSciencewasestablished;inDecemberofthesameyear,TheinstitutewaschangedtoYan'anAcademyofNaturalSciences,andhasthenatureofahighereducationinstitution.
InAugustofthe29thyearoftheRepublicofChina(1940),theFacultyofNaturalSciencessetupfourdepartments:Physics,Chemistry,GeologyandMinerals,andBiology;onSeptember1ofthesameyear,classeswereofficiallyheld.
Inthe30thyearoftheRepublicofChina(1941),theAcademyofNaturalScienceswasdirectlyundertheleadershipoftheCentralCulturalCommission.
Inthe32ndyearoftheRepublicofChina(1943),theAcademyofNaturalScienceswasmergedintoYan'anUniversity,whichwasundertheleadershipoftheBorderDistrictGovernmentandbecameanindependentcollege.
InJuneofthe33rdyearoftheRepublicofChina(1944),theDepartmentofBiologywaschangedtotheDepartmentofAgriculture.
Inthethirty-sixthyearoftheRepublicofChina(1947),theDepartmentofAgricultureofYan'anUniversitywasmergedintoNorthernUniversityandtheCollegeofAgricultureofNorthernUniversitywasestablished.
Inthethirty-seventhyearoftheRepublicofChina(1948),NorthernUniversityandNorthChinaUnitedUniversitymergedintoNorthChinaUniversity,andtheformerNorthernUniversityCollegeofAgriculturewasrenamedasNorthChinaUniversityCollegeofAgriculture.

September1949,PekingUniversityCollegeofAgriculture,TsinghuaUniversityThecollegeandNorthChinaUniversityCollegeofAgriculturemergedtoformBeijingAgriculturalUniversity.

OnNovember26,1981,withtheapprovaloftheStateCouncil,theschoolbecamethefirstbatchofdoctoralandmaster'sdegreegrantingunitsinthecountry.
In1984,BeijingAgriculturalUniversitywaslistedbytheStateCouncilasoneofthetenkeyinstitutionsofhigherlearninginthecountry.

OnApril1,1950,theShuangqiaoMechanicalFarmingSchooloftheCentralMinistryofAgriculturewasestablishedonthebasisofthetrainingclass.

InDecember1949,NorthChinaAgriculturalMachineryCollegewasestablished.
3.DepartmentofAgriculturalMachinery,BeijingAgriculturalUniversity
InOctober1949,BeijingAgriculturalUniversitywasestablishedwiththeDepartmentofAgriculturalMachinery.
Intheautumnof1951,theAgriculturalMachineryDepartmentofBeijingAgriculturalUniversitybegantojointlyrunaschoolwithNorthChinaAgriculturalMachineryCollege.
Four.PingyuanAgriculturalCollege
InJuly1951,PingyuanAgriculturalCollegewasestablished,withthreedepartmentsofagriculture,animalhusbandryandveterinarymedicine,forestryandcottonspecialistclasses.
ConsolidatedDevelopment
OnOctober15,1952,BeijingMechanizedAgricultureCollegewasestablished.
InJanuary1953,somecadres,teachersandstudentsofPingyuanAgriculturalCollegeweremergedintoBeijingMechanizedAgricultureCollege;inJulyofthesameyear,theschoolwasrenamedBeijingAgriculturalMechanizationCollege;inthesameyear,theschool’sagriculturaldepartmentmajoredinagronomy.MergedintoNortheastAgriculturalCollege.
In1954,theschoolwasledbytheMinistryofEducation.

In1957,theschoolwasundertheleadershipoftheMinistryofAgriculture.Inthefallof1959,theDepartmentofAgricultureTractorStationCadreCollegewasmergedintoBeijingAgriculturalMechanizationCollege.
In1960,BeijingInstituteofAgriculturalMechanizationwaslistedasoneofthe64keyuniversitiesinthecountry.
In1965,theschoolwaschangedtotheleadershipoftheEighthMinistryofMachinery.
In1970,theschoolmovedtoChongqing,SichuanProvince,duringwhichtheschoolnamewaschangedtoSichuanAgriculturalMachineryCollege,ChongqingAgriculturalMachineryCollege,andNorthChinaAgriculturalMechanizationCollege.
In1979,theschoolmovedbacktoitsoriginallocation,restoreditsname,andbelongedtotheMinistryofAgriculturalMachinery.
InApril1982,theschoolwaschangedtotheMinistryofAgriculture,AnimalHusbandryandFisheries.
InOctober1985,theschoolwasrenamedBeijingAgriculturalEngineeringUniversity.
Mergerdevelopment
InSeptember1995,BeijingAgriculturalUniversityandBeijingAgriculturalEngineeringUniversitymergedtoformChinaAgriculturalUniversity.
In1998,theschoolwasincludedinthenational"211Project"collegesanduniversities.
In2003,ChinaAgriculturalUniversityandYantaiMunicipalPeople'sGovernmentsignedajointschoolagreementtojointlybuildtheYantaicampusofChinaAgriculturalUniversity.
In2004,theschoolwasincludedinthenational"985Project"collegesanduniversities.
In2006,itwasselectedastheNationalUniversityStudentCulturalQualityEducationBase.
In2007,withtheapprovaloftheMinistryofEducation,theYantaiResearchInstituteofChinaAgriculturalUniversitywasestablished.
InMay2012,itwasratedbytheMinistryofEducationasatypicaluniversitywithgraduateemploymentexperienceinthecountry.
InSeptember2014,hewasselectedasapilotuniversityfortheNationalExcellentAgriculturalandForestryTalentEducationandTrainingProgram.
In2015,theschoolbecameapilotunittodeepenthecomprehensivereformofprofessionaldegreepostgraduateeducation
InSeptember2017,theschoolwasselectedasa"doublefirst-class"constructionuniversity.
InMarch2018,theschoolwasselectedasoneofthefirstbatchofnationalnewengineeringresearchandpracticeprojectsbytheMinistryofEducation;inJuly,theschoolwasratedasatypicaluniversitywithnationalinnovationandentrepreneurshipexperiencebytheMinistryofEducation.
InJanuary2020,theschoolwasselectedasapilotuniversityofthe"StrongFoundationProgram".
InJuly2020,itwasselectedasthesecondbatchofuniversities’nationalintellectualpropertyinformationservicecenters;inAugust,ChinaAgriculturalUniversityandtheSichuanProvincialPeople’sGovernmentsignedastrategiccooperationagreement;onOctober17,joinedtheYuanmingyuanresearchUniversityAlliance;Inthesamemonth,itwasdesignatedasthe2020NationalIntellectualPropertyPilotUniversitybytheStateIntellectualPropertyOfficeandtheMinistryofEducation;onNovember6,the“NationalAgriculturalGraduateVolunteerServiceAlliance”wasestablished.

校徽
学校校徽的图形为:以书本、麦穗和齿轮托举手绘京师大学堂农科大学老校门,1905代表学校始源年份,上方环绕学校中英文名称。
释义:校徽颜色选用生命绿,以植物的色彩,体现农业特点,象征生机勃勃蓄势待发。校徽整体呈盾形,代表坚固、稳重和持久;锹和犁的形态体现培养人才的治学理念。从整体上表现“顶天立地”,上部象征进取和开放,下部表现面向社会的办学主旨。以手绘农科大校门和“1905”表示学校始源。以托举状的麦穗寓意托举农业未来的重任;麦穗和齿轮代表农科和工科;书本图案代表传播知识、培育英才,还象征翱翔的海鸥,预示大学腾飞的美好未来。

释义:"长太息以掩涕兮,哀民生之多艰"是屈原《离骚》中的名句,其中所寓含了深沉的忧患意识和强烈的社会责任感,几千年来一直感动并激励着中国知识分子为国为民殚精竭智。"民生之多艰"是中国的农情,也是中国的国情,中国农大以农立校,国富民殷、强农为本,是中国农大百年不变的追求。数代农大人情系乡土,忧患苍生,为实现中国人千百年来的温饱和富庶之梦不遗余力。以"解"代"哀",以此为己任的大气取代了原句中的悲戚之气,恰切地表现了中国农业大学有别于其他高校的独特性。
